M/s JURONG Consultants, KPMG, DTZ and ESRI, appointed as consultants by DMICDC for preparing the concept master plan for the Manesar Bawal Investment Region (MBIR) and undertaking feasibility studies for the Early Bird Projects, which has been completed.

VISION:

To provide investment opportunities along NH-1, NH-2, NH-8 & NH-10 for developing Industrial, urban and supporting infrastructure and spawn greater economic development.

• INR 2500 billion (US $ 50 billion)

PLANNING STRATEGY:

• The concept master plan for MBIR is a combination of brownfield and greenfield developments
• Development plans of existing townships falling with MBIR integrated into the overall MBIR concept master plan
• Concept Master Plan of MBIR finalized and administrative approval accorded by the State Govt. to the Concept Master Plan
• Development Plan approved

Integrated Greenfield Township (GIT) within Manesar-Bawal Investment Region

• GIT positioned within MBIR spread over an area of 35 sq.km and to be developed in Phase-1
• Located along NH8 and proposed MRTS alignment and next to water reservoir (Massani barrage)
• GIT modeled as High density Transport Oriented Development (with MRT S & BRTS Systems)
• GIT would house business park, educational institutes, hotels, sports complex, hospitals, high density yet green residential areas, affordable housings and large public / open spaces

• A smart community can be define as a city in which citizens, business and government live, work and interact in a sustainable manner through delivery of integrated, low carbon products and services

Projects:

• MoU signed with consortium of Japanese Companies (Toshiba-Tokyo Gas-NEC)
• After initial survey, IMT Manesar selected as the site for pilot project
• Technical feasibility report for the project submitted
• Financial feasibility report being prepared
